Elizabeth Jane Hurley has been a model and actress in England since the late 1980s. In the year 1990 it was reported that she could have been Hugh Grant's girlfriend. When Hugh Grant's movie Four Weddings and a Funeral received global public attention, Hurley accompanied Grant to the film's Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace dress with gold safety-pins. It instantly brought her media recognition. Hurley's association to Estee Lauder is her most memorable professional experience. Hurley was granted her first modeling contract at age 29, and she's been using her to model Estee Lader's cosmetics since 1995. Her most well-known work is her role as Vanessa Kensington, in the popular spy-films International Man of Mystery (2007) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (2000). Hurley has an eponymous swimwear brand and also models the brand. Perry's initial attempts at stardom with mainstream artists were not successful. Perry was signed to two labels and later dropped by them before there was a release date for any of her recordings. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. The title track was a jolly and sly track that received little interest. The song I Kissed a Girl was a more aggressive ode to sexism, accompanied by a hard edged electro-pop style. A few critics accused it as a sly reference to homosexuality however others suggested the song's sexually explicit lyrics were designed to attract men with fantasies. I Kissed a Girl became the number one hit in the world because of its mix of sexual enticement and a refined tune. The song also assisted her to sell more albums, such as One of the Boys. Its bouncy, sharp-tongued and bouncy song, the second Hot N Cold also proving to be a hit, the album that Perry wrote herself eventually registered the sales of over three million copies in the United States.
